Announcement
All our items are made by Lucy in Newcastle Upon Tyne, under the strict supervision of Jackson, Ginny and Lance (the Freemaker Hounds).
I have both made-to-measure and ready-to-ship sizes available in pajamas, and lots of different martingale collars.
Ready to ship pjs are slightly cheaper than made to measure but there is only one of each pattern, made so that I could take some example photos or because I had a spare few hours to do some sewing. Ready to ship are made using standard back/chest ratios for the sighthound body shape.
If you can't see a fleece or collar pattern you like, or if you have something special in mind please start a conversation with me by clicking the button and we can work together to create something unique especially for your hound.

5 out of 5 starsThrilled with the jellyfish! Fits her perfectly and well priced, always difficult to find fleeces that fit my pod but she looks fabulous in them. Quick delivery and good quality considering these are made to order. One very happy pod!

Lucy - Freemaker Hounds
Owner
I love all things sighthound related, and love to accessorize my own hounds with a variety of pjs and collars. When I’m not sewing, I like to relax with a glass of wine or two and have a greyhound cuddle on the sofa. Bit of a fabric hoarder too!

Ginny
Product Tester
Mad Madam Gin. Has the worlds craziest grin, enjoys winding Lance up and then watching him get into trouble. Complete daddy’s girl. Favourite thing is spontaneous zoomies around the garden.

Lance
Motivational Speaker / Court Jester
Absolute showoff, must be the centre of attention at all times. Always has an opinion, too clever for his own good. Favourite thing is the sound of his own voice. And his squeaky tennis ball.

Care instructions
You can wash our collars and pjs on a cool cycle in a washing machine. We recommend that you put the collar inside something like a pillowcase and tie a knot in the top - this will stop the metal hardware from banging around inside your washing machine.
Then leave your collar or pjs to air dry naturally. Collars usually take around 24h to dry, and pjs usually just a few hours as fleece is quick drying.
Sizing details
To measure for pjs, the back length measurement should be taken from the base of the neck (between the shoulder blades right where they meet the neck/start to become shoulders) to the top of the tail. The chest measurement should be taken right around the deepest part of the check, usually just behind the front legs. They are fitted for the standard greyhound/whippet shape, with a deep but narrow chest. If you have a different breed please let me know and I can adjust the pattern to fit correctly.
**Please measure carefully using a soft tape measure and please do get in touch if you have any questions. I am unable to accept returns/exchanges on made to measure items if the measurements provided were wrong**
Wholesale availability
I am happy to sell my products at a discount for wholesale amounts. Please send me a message for more details.
How are “ready to ship” pajamas different to “made to measure”? Why are they cheaper?
For every fleece pattern that I list in my shop I have made an example set of pajamas to photograph so that people can see how the pattern looks once it’s made into a garment.
Ready to ship are slightly cheaper than made to measure for a couple of reasons - firstly the fit is made to a standard back/chest ratio so may not be as good as having pajamas made to your hound’s measurements. Secondly, it’s a bit of a lottery for me to find buyers who like the pattern and have a hound who is the right size, so they’re a little cheaper to give people an incentive to buy and stop the PJs sitting lonely and unloved on my shelves.
I also just love to sew, so occasionally have time to make extra pjs in ready-to-mail sizes.
Can I pick a different pattern?
Absolutely! If you see a fleece pattern you like and you’d like it in a combination you can’t see, just send a message. I can only list items I’ve already made and photographed, but there are literally thousands of possible fleece colors and patterns you could choose to combine.
You can choose different colors/patterns for the neck, legs, trim and body of pjs.
Plus if you have an idea for a theme you can’t see, just message me and I’ll see which different fleeces I can source for you (with no obligation to buy if you don’t like the options I suggest).
How long will my made-to-measure order take to arrive?
Usually it takes around 7-10 days for me to make a made-to-measure jumper, sometimes up to 14 days depending on how busy I am.
Then packages are mailed via USPS, and usually take 3-5 business days to arrive within the US, and usually around 2 weeks to arrive internationally, although the customs process can sometimes extend this time frame when delivering abroad.
